The commitments we have to deal with today are verging on ridiculous. Between family, work, and fun, we're still supposed to find time to all be a size 2 (women) or have a washboard stomach (men). But, in reality, at the end of the day, many of us simply don't have the energy to buckle down for an intense, fat burning workout. Should we even bother?

Actually, yes. It turns out that there are many reasons that we should find time for a little movement, as long as it's a steady, low impact, fat-burning type exercise- not a full-out, sweat-inducing, athletic undertaking.

To begin with, such exercises can be too taxing for the majority of the population. After expending out energy all day on the job, hobbling to the gym in an attempt to burn off calories could be dangerous. Studies show that fatigue is one of the leading causes of exercise-related injuries. Undertaking a rigorous workout at the end of a long day is simply not a good idea.

In addition, forcing oneself to go through a workout that you are simply not ready for will only turn you off from exercising. You will never enjoy it, and the closer to a "chore" it is, the less likely you will stick with it over the long term.

Instead, experts recommend slow, steady, more controlled exercise. For example, dieters have experienced a steady weight loss simply by walking for 30-45 minutes. Some have added small doses of weight resistance via bands or small handheld dumbbells.

A slower, more controlled and more enjoyable exercise system has many benefits. For example, this kind of exercise is found to be more enjoyable by most dieters. Therefore, they are much more likely to stick with it over a longer period of time.

It is a well known fact that those who commit to a workout buddy are also much more likely to stick with their routines. Adding another person in the mix will make you less likely to shirk your routine. Incorporating an exercise buddy is nearly impossible with vigorous workouts, but slow, stead, fat-burning workouts can easily accommodate a friend!

Another benefit of steadier exercise plans is the fact that you can do them anytime, anywhere. Whereas a difficult workout would naturally need to be headquartered at your local gym, a more friendly exercise routine would allow you to incorporate it into your normal life. For example, if you're waiting for an appointment to start, you may choose to get in a half hour walk. Or, you could perform resistance band training during the commercials of your favorite TV show.

What about all that extra time you have at work during lunch? We all know it doesn't take a whole hour to
eat! With less stressful exercises, one doesn't need to worry about sweat-inducing aerobics that are likely to offend your cube mate if you don't shower. Instead, a moderately-paced walk is unlikely to cause sweating, thereby giving you another opportunity to fit exercise into your life!

Just because you are busy doesn't mean that you can't exercise at all! Find a more moderate exercise that fits into your life, and doesn't exhaust you at the end of the day, and you'll be much more likely to stick to it and lose that weight!

The name of the game for abdominal fat loss is to concentrate on full body workouts that will set your metabolism fire. Focus on exercises like squats, lunges, deadlifts, clean and presses, snatches, presses and pulls, mountain climbers, sprinting, etc.

Please keep in mind, I do recommend core and ab exercises as a part of any workout routine, I just do not focus the workout on ab exercises, particularly for fat loss.

The next aspect of abdominal fat loss is the most important aspect, and that is nutrition. Yes, eating right is critical. When it comes to fat loss, it has been said that only 20% of the formula is the exercise part, 80% is eating right.
