As you continue on your journey to success and happiness, consider the importance of your union with God. God is the great architect of the Universe and you are simply part of his plain. Success, wealth, happiness, peace of mind all are derived from your relationship with God. Religion cannot be discounted as you develop your success plan, for it is one of the five areas that makes for a complete life.
Should you chase after religion?
Should religion be sought after as you would any other high priority area of life? After all, the terms “objective” and “barriers” and “strategy” procedures apply to spiritual as well as to material enrichment. As you approach spiritual ideology, you must crystallize your thinking as you would for any other top priority goal. You should ask of yourself your own questions like: should my objective include getting closer to God? Should I go to Church or to my special place of worship more often? How can I find a more heartfelt peace of mind? Should I see more of my Pastor, Priest or Rabbi? If I am going to connect with the material world, shouldn’t I also connect with God? How do I go about seeking spiritual liberty? What are my barriers? When should I begin my spiritual campaign?
Or What is spiritual?
Naturally, the definition of what constitutes “spiritual” varies from individual to individual. Each of us can make use of an opportunity to clarify our own thinking.
In addition, the meaning of life can encompass other areas besides the purely religious. For instance:
- The philosophers. Men have thought about their relationship with Universe from the beginning of time. As they peered into the heavens they wondered what significance they played in the role of things. Many of these thinkers produced explanations which are relevant today, perhaps even more than they were at the time they were written. The Greek, Roman, Judaic, Christian, Islamic and modern philosophers provide a foundation for many modern religious ideologies. In addition, the Chinese, Arabic, Japanese, ancient Egyptian, and other great civilizations put forth many ideas which can lend themselves to our own personal spiritual growth
.
- The Charitable. A certain satisfaction comes from good relationships and as our relationship with ourselves is important, out of necessity, it must also include others. The fact is, we have many opportunities to help the rest of humanity achieve and increase its potential. How long has it been since you gave to – or better yet, helped in – a deserving charity? What are your chances to help the racially, nationally, educationally, economically, physically, or emotionally underprivileged? Couldn’t you spare a few minutes to help guide a lost soul or give peace of mind to a grieving person? Can you volunteer a little of your time to help alleviate the plight of the American Indians, Hispanic, or African Americans? Should you direct your efforts toward eliminating poverty and hunger or in areas stricken by weather or high unemployment? The decisions of course are always up to the individual, for each and everyone or us has to make some effort, but by calculating your objective and rewards may help you determine which road your prefer to take. In the same sense, some of you might wish to consider helping certain youth groups such as the Boy Scouts, Campfire Girls, 4-H or other of the myriad of altruistic groups now active.
- The Creative. The literal ecstasy of seeing something grow from an idea or a little raw material into a work of beauty and function, strictly through your own mind and hands, is one of the supremely spiritual joys of life. Every human needs and desires solitude to replenish their inner self. A creative hobby can provide the solitude for meditation while your hands and another level of your mind are constructively occupied.
To be Successful
Some people write their thoughts in various forms. Some paint pictures. Some do needlepoint. As they say, “What’s your bag?” Creativity isn’t limited to writing or painting. How about photography, woodworking, restoring classical automobiles, playing the guitar, keeping a journal? The list stretches from here to the stars. It’s up to you to find your place as you seek tranquility.
There are no holdbacks when taping into the power line of wealth and success. You must be engaged, plugged in, so to speak, putting forth a total effort for success. You must be connected to the spiritual power line for your light to fully shine.
Happy Trails
