It’s not clear how champagne became the drink most readily associated with celebration and triumph. Perhaps in another universe they celebrate with Liebfraumilch or even blueberry smoothie (although this is probably too extravagant), but as far as earth is concerned, the cork, the pop and the icy bubbles simply say “celebration”. Try and imagine a family gathering without a bit of champagne. Unless it’s a funeral, it’s always appropriate to go bubbly!

Can you remember the last time you paid much attention to a champagne label? Perhaps if you were buying it or looking for the opening instructions you might have scanned over it, but they usually make ironically sober reading. There will be a bit of French, a name you’ve either heard of or you pretend to have heard of, the alcohol content and a bit of random nonsense designed to make it look more expensive. In other words, one champagne label looks more or less like another. In fact, when you think about it, they don’t really match the air of celebration that is filling the whole atmosphere. It’s as inappropriate as sending your five-year-old niece a birthday card with a picture of a cricketer and “Many Happy Returns” written in gold calligraphy.

But there’s an answer... Personalized champagne labels that not only scream “Yeeeha!” but also have a message aimed directly at the lucky recipient.

These labels are distinctly themed for a special occasion, for example a birthday, passing a driving test, celebrating a newborn or getting married. Others are simply fun or will mean something special to certain people, like the rugby, gardening or golf themes. And customers can say what name they want incorporating and it will be printed in and innovative or humorous way using sophisticated digital imagery. This means the name can appear written in clouds, carved in a tree or even in place of the famous Hollywood Hills sign festooned with fireworks.

Superb labels are one thing, but they come with an added bonus, namely a bottle of champagne. And it’s not just any old bubbly, either. It’s available in a blend of Pinot Noir, Meunier and Chardonnay made from the première cuvée (the first pressing) to create a wine of superior quality that will have the buffs and the newbies showing their appreciation as the flutes are drained.

Personalized champagne not only gives a party a special element, it shows you’ve made that little bit more of an effort to give a unique and personal gift. And they don’t have to be bought as gifts, either. If you’re throwing a party, why not order a few bottles and create a unifying theme that will remain with your guests for years? You don’t have to have someone’s name on them, after all – any short message will fit. Anyone who believes in concentrating on the details to make the perfect party should take note.

On its own, champagne is sure to make any party go up a gear. But when it’s labeled in such a unique and imaginative way, it’ll make a celebration into a personalized champagne treat worthy of the special guest.
