Take dead aim at lower scores.
One of the major attributes to a great golf game is to
pay real close attention to aiming your shots. If you are not setup
in the right position, ball striking will be affected greatly. This in turn causes adjustments to be made during the swing in order to get the ball on target.
On the course, alignment and aiming are two major factors. Many
golfers when on the driving range get used to hitting their shots down
the middle of the range.Usually you do not notice off center flags at that point. When on the golf course you will not be in the habit of aiming at a certain target and will be making lots of adjustments to
your swing. Also in turn you will make many swing faults continually.
Where should you start?
Ideally, you should block out all trouble areas and totally be focused on where you want to hit the ball.At first you need to mentally
see the target, then envision the shot going to your target. Before you hit the ball, pick a spot about 4-6 inches in front of the ball.Line up
your club accordingly and you will learn to aim well very quickly.
The other factor is alignment. Now getting your body into the right address position is crucial. Many golfers including tour pros come into the impact position in a
alignment. At address the ball should be in line with the instep of the left foot and the club lined up to your target. One great tip i can give you at this point is to take the club back slowly,in a one piece motion. Then at the top of your swing, release through the shot and rotate the right wrist over the left after impact. Also making sure to point the club right at your target on the follow through. This will make for great contact and ball flight.
In addition to these attributes one will need to incorporate
a fitness routine.Golf fitness is a huge aspect that many golfers forget about. When limber, you are able to have a much larger shoulder
turn and coil at the top of the swing. This in turn will give more power
to any shot.In conclusion, start with fitness and then use some of the information given here to jump start or add to your golf know how.
Essential tips:
When halfway back your hands should move inward. The spine
should tilt toward the ball at address, and when you swing back, that tilt will move right.Keeping the spine over the ball is the goal. The
first move back is the tilt,it causes the shoulders and the hips to
turn on a downward angle. The right leg straightning and the left knee will flex forward. As the left shoulder turns, hand move in a circular
arc and arms stay close to the ribs.
